About Advanced Cable Systems

Advanced Cable Systems started business in 1996 and incorporated in 1997. It was formed by a licensed electrician, Scott Loepkey, and a licensed General Contractor, Tom Wentling. The company evolved in the late 1990’s working with 3-4 guys on various projects, most notably the old Goleta Valley Cottage Hospital. As computer networking became more prevalent in the early 2000’s and our work mushroomed with the addition of Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital as our biggest client, we became a signatory contractor to IBEW 413 out of Buellton. This relationship has been very advantageous as we are able to hire and maintain some of the brightest and most talented electricians the union has to offer. We are now able to offer a full range of data and electrical installations for our clients.

“For over 20 years Cottage Health has used Advance Cable for a variety of support, from helping build the fiber optic backbone and cat 5 end points to support of all electrical needs of the MDF, all IDF’s and main server room.” — Eli Coates, CITIG

“When we made the move into our new offices here in Santa Barbara there was a pretty big job ahead of us to get all the existing cabling up to our standards. That’s where the team at Advanced Cabling Systems came in and we were well taken care of through the entire process. They are responsive, thorough, and always have their customer’s best interests in mind. As an IT consulting firm we happily refer our clients with cabling needs to them and have heard nothing but positive feedback. CITIG will absolutely continue to use and recommend the services of Advanced Cabling Systems!” — Charles Kelley, Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital
